Hi Jean, thanks for your e-mail on Mary Cooley. She is my 3rd great grandmother. My line is through John Barton and Susannah Wilinson to Mary Catherine Barton and John Lehi Ivie to my grandmother Ida Priscilla Ivie. When I first started cleaning up my inherited records about 10 years ago it bothered me that all of the records out there had that Mary Cooley had died in Pennsylvania but my grandmother had told me she had joined the church and was in Nauvoo and had died at Winter Quarters so I started seaching records and found that to be true. I scanned the transcript of her blessing for you. Hope it worked. I got this by showing my relationship to her and sending the information to the Church Historians Office. We have a film at our Family History Center showing the information on early blessings.
It was nice hearing from you, cousin. I do love/hate the newfamilysearch program. I especially like being able to contact others through it but at times I get very frustrated with it.
